Fike Blue is a special liquid that effectively prevents thermal runaway and cascade temperature rise. It is introduced directly into the module and is designed to control the thermal event by absorbing heat. It has a much higher boiling point than water – as much as 400 degrees Celsius. It also does not dissipate like gases, so its effectiveness is very high.

Advantages of Fike Blue

  • A tested and patented solution that not only puts out battery fires, but also the cascading phenomenon of uncontrolled temperature rise.
  • Fike Blue is a liquid, injected directly into the module and designed to absorb heat.
  • It has a very high boiling point and submerges the module until the phenomenon is over. It does not dissipate like gases.
  • Much less consumption than water extinguishing.
  • It is completely non-toxic and biodegradable.
  • Provides a real possibility that ESS can be safely deployed in a variety of urban environments.

How Fike Blue works

With a heat capacity of more than 400°C, Fike Blue absorbs the intense exothermic heat generated by uncontrolled temperature rise without decay.

How is Fike Blue stored and discharged?

It is stored as a pressurized liquid and also supplied as a liquid.

Is Fike Blue electrically conductive?

Blue is less conductive than water. All tests conducted by Fike or by a third party have shown no shorting of any cells.

Does Fike Blue have any impact on the environment?

Blue uses exponentially less liquid than the water required by sprinklers and especially by firefighters, resulting in much less runoff to the surrounding environment.
