Ventex passive explosion-proof valves, supplied by Fike, are able to close any explosion in a relatively small section of the installation. This prevents the destructive force from reaching further parts of the installation. The operation of the explosion isolation / decoupling system is simple and very effective, because the actuating factor of the valve is directly the explosion itself.
No sensors or control components function here. The force of the impetus of the explosion wave pushes the locking ball pressed by the spring, which permanently closes the culvert. The pressure of the spring is properly adjusted and can only be outweighed by the force of the explosion.
