1. Characteristics
The magnetic clutch gear pump is completely hermetic, so that there are no leaks during normal pump operation. It is perfect for pumping high viscosity applications.
2. Construction
The design of our pumps makes them suitable for use where the use of common, standard seals creates problems and leads to leaks, and where maintenance and replacement of conventional seals is too costly due to expensive downtime. As an option, the pump can be retrofitted with a heating jacket.
3. Purpose
DUDEK gear pumps with magnetic coupling are used primarily where materials hazardous to man and the environment are pumped, which cannot enter the atmosphere.
4. Advantages
Using DUDEK gear pumps with magnetic coupling, we are guaranteed safety in operation by means of an adjustable bypass valve. The pump ensures even flow and long-term and trouble-free operation.
Application:
- First of all, where materials hazardous to man and the environment are pumped, which can not enter the atmosphere,
- wherever the use of commonly used, standard seals creates problems and leads to leaks – hardening of the pumped medium on contact with the atmosphere which causes:
- tearing of seal packages,
- scratching the smooth surfaces of the mechanical seal,
- the springs of the mechanical seal become blocked and cease to perform their function,
- mismatch of the pumped medium to the “O” rings of the mechanical seal in areas where no leakage is allowed,
- wherever maintenance and replacement of conventional seals is too costly due to expensive downtime,
- wherever maintenance of seal cooling systems is impossible or undesirable.
